Hailing from a coastal village of northern Kerala, Nirmal’s professional career started in 2006 as he started freelancing as a photographer in Cochin. From early days his interest was fixed on storytelling and photography became his main messenger. Having worked on a wide range of visual journalism from current affairs & history to human interest & eco-conservation, Nirmal loves to travel and document the shift in livelihood patterns of different cultures while not on assignment. Nirmal is presently pursuing a long-term project on the On-set of southwest monsoons in India with focus on climate change.
