Samira Verma is a researcher, educator & performing artist. She has a Doctorate in History from JNU & she worked as a high school History teacher for 9 years. In the past, her research focused on such themes as the caste system, construction & contestation of gender identity & comparative religion. She is also a performing artist & uses theatre to support NGOs & create awareness on social issues. She is currently working as a Gender Consultant in the development sector.
