NE’s largest govt digital archive

Guwahati, May 29: Celebstan, a start-up founded under IIM Ahmedabad’s Centre for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship is working towards developing Northeast India’s largest government run digital archive.

Celebstan is developing the digital archive of Jyoti Chitrabon, the only film studio in Northeast located at Kahilipara in Guwahati.

To develop and expand the digital archive, Celebstan has floated a one-of-its kind internship programme for the young talents of Assam.

“North East India’s largest government run film studio Jyoti Chitrabon’s new branch titled Jyoti Chitrabon Digital Archive would be a unique gift to the culture lovers of the State. It will digitize and preserve all the available collections, including cassettes and vinyl. It is an opportunity for the students and recent graduates interested in the field to get associated with the voluntary internship project and learn from experts in the field,” Amrita Sonowal, co-founder of Celebstan said.

The interns will also get an opportunity to learn from top minds in IIM Ahmedabad.

The start- idea of Celebstan was selected in the IIMAverick Programme of the Centre for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship at the IIM. Every year, the IIMAverick programme selects top innovative startup ideas from students and young entrepreneurs across India whom they consider to have potential to be among the top 500 companies in the country.
